Hello Philip,

Merry Christmas.  

Just on colour alone, the bird in your attached photograph is a Leaden - no question. The shape of the breast band can be hard to judge at certain angles and admittedly in that photo it appears rather straight, but reference to my website  should make it clear, I hope, to anybody how to tell the difference. If not, I'd like to know about it. My website presents all the info in the original WINGSPAN article, plus some.
