Hello Canberra birders - and Merry Christmas!
Today I was lucky enough to locate a koel nestling in Griffith/Narrabundah, in
a park on La Perouse street. I have some 'birder's eye' photos (taken through
binoculars) if anyone is keen to see them!

Hi everyone!
I have already sent out several emails regarding my PhD project on
koels and their hosts (wattlebirds, friarbirds, and magpie-larks). It
is that time of year when koel chicks/fledgelings should be popping
up. I have already seen one fledgeling on Burkitt St. in Page just
yesterday being fed by a wattlebird. I was wondering if any of you
happen to see/hear a koel chick/fledgeling if you would please send me
an email letting me know the location. I would greatly appreciate it.
I also wanted to thank all of those who have already been such a great
help to me this season, especially Daryl King, John Harris, Mark
Clayton, and Stuart Rae. Thank you all for your encouraging support!
