an early morning walk at Tuggeranong Pines this morning produced the usual flocks of yellow-tailed black cockies munching in the plantation, and also a group of seven drinking at a roadside puddle. Along the edge of the adjacent Melrose TSR (part of Canberra Nature Park) were a couple of groups of Speckled Warblers, a Scarlet Robin, several Double-barred Finches, lots of Red-browed finches, several Yellow Robins and a couple of Common Bronzewings. 31 species in less than 2 hours.
