The Pectoral Sandpiper has again been visible at the south end of Kellys over the last couple of mornings, although early this morning in dull light it was a fairly nondescript little wader - even the pinkish bill being obscured by mud. If you want to pick it up the best indicator as shown by these snaps in poor conditions is the sharp differentiation between the dark upper breast and white underparts. It could be the same bird over the last few weeks - but the possibility that 2 individuals are involved remains open.
