Anne C and I searched for the singing honeyeater this morning without success, but we were rewarded for our trouble by excellent views of a Buff-banded Rail on the Ginninderra Dr side of the AIS wetland. It walked along bank in the open in front of us and then flew along the edge into thick undergrowth. A Black-shouldered Kite was causing alarm among the cockatoos and ravens. Dusky Moorhens and Eurasian Coots feeding tidbits to cute babies. Magpie Lark on nest at far end of ponds. A number of Superb Parrots feeding dependent young in the main AIS carpark - about 20 Superbs seen in total there
