To me, that is an obvious, though out of focus, photo of a Red Wattlebird. Which begs the question of your idea of size. I suspect you misjudged that, by doing other things. Poor light gives it a black, rather than yellow belly.

Dear All,

Large grey bird as attached. Larger than raven at least as big as Brown Falcon, just slimmer. Sorry for blurry photo.  Am learning to capture moving film - can't yet. Caught sight of him landing as I was filming White-Browed Woodswallows, looked away at the wrong time, so no detail of wing or tail shape.
