He knows enough to make a fair judgement. WW Triller was my only other thought but reckon he could tell the difference. He got a good look and said it definitely looked like a robin.
Here's hoping he was right.

They don't adapt well to suburbia but that doesn't mean one wasn't there today. It depends how well this friend knows a robin. As there are other possibilities if it isn't. W-w Triller, Willie Wagtail .....

A friend said he saw a 'black and white robin' in a tree out the back of the Kippax shops this afternoon. Would it be unusual to see a Hooded Robin in suburbia?
