Our verandas are currently being used as a source of spider web for Noisy Friarbird (NFB) nesting material.  This (GBS week 46)  is right on time for the peak of this activity according to some old GBS data.  (I have truncated the vertical axes to show only the highest values for each type of event.)

If our area was graced with plums, we might find it also the haunt of Koels that might be expected, in warmer climes, to be paying close attention to the NFB's activities.
