Just a reminder to all blitzers who haven’t yet returned their datasheets – bring them to the COG meeting tomorrow night if you can. Otherwise post to COG, PO Box 301 Civic Square 2608, or contact me to make other arrangements. We’ve had an excellent response thus far, with 247 datasheets, 70 named blitzers, 158 bird species recorded and 76 of them breeding. Sadly we haven’t thus far recorded a nationally vulnerable species but have scored one unusual wader (Pectoral Sandpiper) one unusual honeyeater (Yellow-tufted) and a few crakes, rails and nightbirds. Three woodswallow species have been widely recorded. b
