This morning a starling popped out of the hole in the tree where the nightjars formerly were nesting. I was dismayed. The starlings have been around that tree for some time. When did anyone last see the nightjars there? Hopefully they had not already laid their eggs, and have found another tree to raise a family. Keep your eyes open
