Today when I was walking my blitz site with a dog  she found a severed cockatoo's head.  Dogs are very good at finding these things.  There was only a head and there were no other body parts or scattered feathers.  It is a nature reserve between Garran and Hughes closed to the Southern Cross village.  It is a very urban area and I do not think there are eagles or a fox around.  It is very unlikely that  dogs have done it.  I did not take a picture of course.
