This morning a friend and I went to inspect a site off Plains Rd where Superb Parrots have been seen in the past.  They weren't there - it is a little early for them to be out on the Plain - but there were several goodies lined up for our inspection in a nearby Snow Gum (Euclayptus pauciflora) remnant.
  • White-faced heron  2 very well developed chicks in nest.
  • White-winged Triller: at least 3 birds one of which was building a nest
  • Tree Martins: a cloud thereof, many entering hollows
  • Common Starlings: ibid.
  • Several Eastern and Crimson Rosellas which seemed to be interested in tree hollows but refused to enter them while we were watching;
  • At least 3 Diamond Firetails
