1. Male magpie racing - on foot - through a crowd of children playing in school playground, towards the car park where his nest is, with adult sparrow in mouth.  A distance of at least 20m.  He made it, easily.  No-one but I noticed!

2. A very sad event. Juvenile Frogmouth caught in barbed wire fencing beneath trees on side of Currawang road. I hadn't been to Goulburn the day before and he was well and truly dead with wing bones hopelessly tangled in barbs. I assume it was the result of those awful winds.
