I resided nearby for nearly 20 years and saw Black Falcons on a regular basis during the warmer months of the year. Hot NW winds were classic conditions for a sighting. My assumption is that the birds used these conditions to hunt along the Murrumbidgee Corridor.

While it was relatively close and we saw it first, without Stephen’s help I doubt we would have been certain of our identification. We then later saw another more distant bird (possibly the same one) at the start of Drake Brockman Drive.
