Hi Margaret

Can’t say I know much about these guys either, but a comparison with my books suggests possibly a juvenile bird because of the amount of rufous coloration.  But I will wait with bated breath for the judgment of the experts.

This morning there were about 6-10 Sharp-tailed sandpipers moving between ponds 7 and 6.  Also about half a dozen red-kneed dotterels and twice that many black-fronted dotterels doing the same thing.

Would appreciate someone confirming my ID of the sharpie because I am unfamiliar with this bird.
