Sea Gulls

When I was driving across Commonwealth Av bridge into the ANU this morning, I saw what looked like a tight flock of perhaps 50 Little Black Cormorants fly over the bridge and towards Black Mountain peninsula.  They hovered over the Crawford School, where I work, for a minute or two and then disappeared.  I was driving at the time and became a hazard as I tried to identify the birds.  So I am a little uncertain of the ID.  The jizz however was much more cormorant than it was seagull.

I have noticed what appears to be a large colony of Silver Gulls nesting on Spinnacker Is off Black Mt Peninsular
