Interesting Sue  -  the Newline paddock was the site of an LE nest about 10 years ago (a tall yellowbox on eastern fence) but I’ve only seen the odd one since.  There are no current known nests east of Campbell Park.

Today at Newline, a Wedge-tailed Eagle was mobbed by 5 (what appeared to me to be) Little Eagles.  I watched them for at least 5 minutes, studied wing patterns and tail lengths and the latter appeared identical - but:

- are there 5 Little Eagles in the ACT - or in the general area of Newline?

- if so, do they gather in groups of this size?
