I was discussing the nest workshop in November with Jack the other day so when I saw this Buff-rumped Thornbill nest today I thought I might post a piece on it to inspire folks to look out for nesting behaviour. It can be so easily overlooked. Click the link if interested.

Next by Date: | Thanks to Stuart Rae for his lovely observations on the Buff-rumped Thornbill nest. I have been observing YFHoneyeaters carrying nesting material in a certain direction but have had no luck finding their clever concealment. Any hints? Also the best reference book on Australian native eggs and nests? Ta. Jude, jude hopwood |
