I wonder if someone south side would mind checking out an observation by a colleague of mine (non-birder, but naturalist).
 
He says that in Fadden there are Rainbow Lorikeets BREEDING  (nesting) in an old Eucalypt in the middle of a road divider nature area on what I think must be Partridge street (a street off Bugden Ave which has "odd central dividers"). He says that it is an old eucalypt with lots of dead branches and hollows, and he has seen the birds (a pair) going in an out a hollow "obviously nest building".
 
I would be pleased if someone had the time.
