Hi - This bird is new to us and we have been living in this area for many years. It is well camouflaged. It hops like a Common Blackbird but is almost twice the size. It has a very scratchy call but has been heard producing other sounds.
 
A photo is attached, taken at 7X maximum zoom (optical + digital), so it's not a perfect image.
