a wander around the AIS this morning produced 39 species, including a Buff-banded Rail by the pond near Ginninderra Dr. (near where one was seen by the Wednesday walkers many months ago), 15 Superb Parrots in and near the main carparks (many were remarkably approachable and feeding low down or on the ground), 2 Great Cormorants and a flock of about 30 Red-rumped Parrots. The Black-shouldered Kite seen on a number of previous visits is still around, and unlike other visits, not a single Common Myna spotted!
