It helps to increase the brightness of the photo of the Scaly-breasted Lorikeet to see it clearly.

Today I saw one (only) Scaly-Brested Lorikeet (see attached photos taken in appaling light) and about 8 Rainbow Lorikeets feeding on the western side of Athlon Drive just north of the southern intersection with Beasley St. I observed them repeatedly plus wandered around the area for about an hour - including to likely looking trees in nearby streets - but didn't see any Musk Lorikeets.

The Scaly-Breasted Lorikeet was originally pointed out to me by another birder there whose name I have already forgotten, sorry, but I thank him pointing out the bird regardless!

Benj,

A well-known Rolling Stones lyric comes to mind.

Having to be at Woden this morning, it wasn't far out of my way home to Kambah. So worth a try. I was there between 12:30 & 1:30, separately along with 2 others. Certainly several Rainbow Lorikeets there (I saw about 8) but they were the only ones I noticed. Frank said he saw (a?) Musk Lorikeet there yesterday. There are two Beasley Street/Athllon Drive Crossroads, the birds were on the west side of Athllon Drive between the two.

I want independent verification.

2 Musk, 2 Scaly-breasted and at least 18 Rainbow Lorikeets were feeding
throughout the day in a mixed planting of box trees, alongside Athllon
Drive in Torrens.  They particularly favoured the White Boxes (E alba)
behind and north of the bus stop near the Beasley Street/Athllon Drive
Crossroads.

There appeared to be three or four groups that visited the trees. The
Musk and Scaly-breasted Lorikeets were in different groups.
