Interesting. I have never encountered them in bigger groups than suggested as one family and most often as 1 or 2 and not many observation of even that small number in the ACT.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Crested Shrike-Tits at Norwood Crematorium

Hi All

At about 1:00 pm today, my father was out at Norwood Crematorium looking for the multitude of wrens that live there.  While fairly lacking in wrens, the crematorium was less than lacking in crested shrike-tits. The flock was moving quickly, and was very spread out, making it hard to gauge numbers. However, Dad reckons there may have been around 10 to 12. He managed to take a few photos, the best of which has been included in this message.

Matt.
