Guess if I took a 600 mm lens up there I might get arrested. Perhaps the weekend might be safe.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Crescent Honeyeater settled in Wanniassa
Three times in the past 2 weeks I have needed to visit Wanniassa Hills Primary School. Each time I have heard a Crescent Honeyeater there. Today (just under an hour ago) I stopped to look at him. He was very noisy and very easy to find. Actually across the road in the front garden of Cumming Place (corner Langdon Ave). A good photo opp for those that are interested, although as they normally are, he was manically active. My experience with them is from many years ago when I would have one or two in my Kambah garden through the winter, is that they are very site faithful (like the White-fronted I had 6 years ago and the Tawny-crowned that lived near my room at college at La Trobe Uni 35 years ago).
