I have a feeling these ponds will become favoured haunts of deep-water birds, not waders.

it is the material they have removed from the sewerage ponds - they are reforming the banks and I assume taking out accumulated silt. They have to stock pile it for testing to see whether classed as 'clean' fill or contaminated material or maybe evn fertiliser ! Eventually it will all go.

Michael,
What are the huge mounds of earth a part of? They look like the base of some gigantic bridge to nowhere.
Thanks for cleaning the hides.
Margaret.
Just had a look at the sewerage pond opposite the JW office as they have just filled it with water. Was dry the other day. There are 52 Pink-eared Ducks and 11 Shoveler on it. Visible from the road. Also Spotted Harrier and Whistling Kite still hanging around the area.
