Basically in Queanbeyan, Benj?  I am reminded of the time an excitable commentator reported the first major win of the 15-year old Ian Thorpe. “Wow”, she said breathlessly. “and he’s just turned 15 – so he’s really only 14”.  Or should that be Queanbeyan is basically part of Oaks Estate?  At least that’s where the Queanbeyan sewage facility is.

Last week (Friday) at Oakes Estate while having lunch I was very surprised to see 4 Rainbow Lorikeets fly over, heading West, towards Parliament house. Although officially ACT it is basically in Queanbeyan. Im used to seeing them in Hawker & Belconnen more broadly, but didnt expect to see them there.
