This morning at around 9.30 I observed a small parrot flying north across
Hindmarsh Drive from the crest of Mt Mugga towards Red Hill.

My first thought was a Rainbow Lorikeet, but it was too small and had a long,
finely tapering tail (unlike the smaller Lorikeets). My diagnosis is a Swift
Parrot.
