and yet another bad idea before the NSW Parliament - and what's stated in the article cited, but not the birding-aus message below, is that the committee making this recommendation was chaired by Shooters and Fishers Party MP Robert Brown. Obviously doesn't give a damn about the environment...

The NSW Environment Minister has said that the Government has no plans to allow commercial logging in National Parks. But then, prior to the state election, the now NSW Premier said that there were no plans to allow shooting in National Parks. I suppose all we need now is open cut mining in NSW National Parks to have the trifecta.
