Michael Robbins will be leading this walk, which will start from the Pine Island South carpark at 8.30am. Meet at the furthest point, just before the locked gate. The walk will follow the track to Point Hut and return - it's just over 2km each way and an easy and very pleasant walk. Look for the quite confiding male scarlet robin at Pine Island Sth, and the crowds of red-browed finches at both places.
If you've any queries about it, I'm around till Sunday only (and thereafter out of email contact for the week), and your leader Michael ( will be out of town till early next week.
