I saw four Rainbow Lorikeets earlier this morning in one of the Eucalypt
street trees in Hovell St in Griffith, with a couple of them taking
turns to investigate a nesting hollow in the tree.

Howdy All,
Well, a third posting by me to the list in 24 hours or so. Yet
another unusual sighting here in my garden..... Rainbow Lorikeets, 2
of them, only the second time I have ever seen or heard them here.
The last time was June 2010 and was a couple of sightings over a
couple of days in a tall Eucalypt across the road..... this time they
are in a different Eucalypt in a neighbours place. I wonder if they
will start to become more common here or whether these were isolated
occurrences?
Any updates from anyone on how the Hawker population is growing (or
not)? Are they starting to spread out further?
