I am always pleased to see native plants growing near the bike path through Jerrabomberra Drylands.  n the case of the one shown in the attached image it is a tad less desirable since it is native to the Sonoran Desert of Mexico and Arizona.  About 20 plants were there of which most have finished blooming.

Back at Kelly's Swamp at least 25 Black-fronted Dotterels were investigating the tiny amount of water or sheltering in the shade.  As I walked back from the Desert Zone 8 Rainbow Bee-eaters flew overhead coming from the direction of the Silt Trap and heading for Duntroon.  (I heard these birds calling from the Molonglo to the North of Stony Creek NR yesterday afternoon, which I suspect means they are on the move out of the area.)
