Surely
correct in terms of the specific question. I would only add something that might
add or reduce confusion, depending on the wording used, that in terms of
COG breeding records, that includes dependant young (DY) as constituting a
breeding, even if the natal area is elsewhere. YTBC would on that basis have
breeding records at ANBG. Same old issue with the King Parrot.

Tony,
I
would say you have it pretty well correct. My answer is Y-t B C- no, they breed
in the wetter and taller forests, Grey Currawong – yes (or at least very close
to the ANBG. I have seen nests close by on Black Mountain), SB-C – yes, B-F C-s
– yes, Bassian Thrush – no, they are principally a winter visitor to the ANBG
but breeds in the higher, wetter Ranges.
Cheers,
Mark

birds
Can
anyone help with this query from the ANBG?
My guess is N, Y, ?, Y
, N, but if N then where?
Wondering
if you can assist with a bird enquiry
Do
you know if any of the following birds nest in the ANBG.
Yellow-tailed black cockatoo
Grey currawong
Shining bronze cuckoo
Black-faced cuckoo-shrike
Bassian thrush
We
are wanting to include this information in the Gardens’ bird app.
If
the following birds don’t breed in the Gardens then where do they breed ie,
suburbs, mountains. woodland reserves, river bank.”
