There are still at least 5 Superb Parrots this evening at Belconnen Golf Course.  Last week a young Sp, that had been in the care of the RSPCA, was released into this group.  The released bird was banded orange on the right leg so it will be interesting to see if this individual is resighted.  Apparently a small group of birds flew overhead and the bird in the hand gave a call.  The group immediately turned around and settle in a nearby tree.  On release the young bird  flew to a tree and then on hearing further calls from the group joined them. The birds then flew off together, so hopefully a good ending for an injured bird handed into the RSPCA.
