I believe so, Marnix.  Terry says the constructed walking way is quite distinctive being paved with a rubberised and pebbled or bitumenised surface – apparently the only one of that description

Do you know if Terry meant turn left immediately after the power lines and follow this track until you hit the paved walkway up majura?

I am relaying a report from Terry Gourlay.  From the Mackenzie St carpark take the reservoir track east towards the dams, bearing left just after the powerlines.  The spot is where the track becomes a surfaced walking path.
