This morning as I walked my dog in Hughes, I saw almost nothing but king parrots from the Hughes shops to Clarrie Hermes Park. Are they back from breeding places? I also hear insistent begging of a fledgeling. When I sent pictures of common Canberra birds, such as king parrots, rosellas, galahs and cockies to my friend in Japan, she declared that we live in Narnia. Aren't I lucky to live in Canberra! |
