This morning as I walked my dog in Hughes, I saw almost nothing but king parrots from the Hughes shops to Clarrie Hermes Park.  Are they back from breeding places?  I also hear insistent begging of a fledgeling.  When I sent pictures of common Canberra birds, such as king parrots, rosellas, galahs and cockies to my friend in Japan, she declared that we live in Narnia.  Aren't I lucky to live in Canberra!
