I thought it was odds-on that I'd see some swifts today and that happened whilst eating lunch on the shores of Lake Ginninderra at midday today.  I saw at least twenty go over in a few minutes, but was then distracted by the singing of "Happy Birthday", followed by the eating of a Spider-Man cake and then the aggressive bashing of a piñata.  Good times, but I digress.
