I saw a Spotless Crake in the Ginninderra Creek this evening - just down stream from Giralang Pond. The creek is now nearly dry. I glimpsed a small crake or similar a couple of weeks ago, and I've spent a lot of time staring at mud and Latham's Snipe in the hope I of seeing again. This time it stayed in view long enough to identify it. There is no sign of the Yellow-billed Spoonbill this evening. Duncan.
