(Not birds, but...) We're getting regular visits from flying foxes at night.  
Several located in our large Eucalypt this evening, making high trilled squeaks 
and flying around the place.  No immediate source of food but presumably the 
tree is a convenient staging point.  This has been going on for perhaps a week. 
So far they seem to hang around for 30 minutes or so, and then move away.
