Perhaps outside the High Court? No, not really - unlike 'avocado (pear)',
the name has nothing to do with lawyers but comes, apparently, from the
local name along the Venetian coast for the European species

Marnix,

As of about 12.45 pm today they were not there. Several people were
looking but with no luck.

We are all wondering where they will show up next.

Does anyone know whether the avocets are still around this morning?
