Mark's message below reflects my views accurately.  I enquired of the observer why he rejected the Brown-headed Honeyeater and have just got this reply.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your interest. Brown-headed is a much better fit! Not so much "rejected" as not even aware of its existence! Another learning experience and a lifer for me - thanks.

So thanks to those who responded to my alert message: we've helped someone, who seems a very pleasant guy, learn something about birds (and add one to his life list!
