Dear All,

Not strictly a bird photography competition, but birds feature as winning subjects in many categories, there is a special bird behaviour section and those of other species are brilliant. It used to be on in Sydney in January, but has moved to the middle of the year - more time to plan. Have included the link to the home page for those interested in participating in the 2013 comp, but those are probably already in the mix, and the online gallery is a magnificent time waster.  The junior pics are always worth a look too - jun photog winners in 3 categories have birds as subjects, and the ausmus has a display at the front of the hall of insects and reptiles with instructions re: photography.

Not too far off-topic I hope? When Cain and Abel syndrome has entered the nest, winner takes all.  Thank you Geoffrey.
