My GBS site has been the haunt of a very noisy Pallid Cuckoo chick for most of the day. A few minutes ago it was fed twice by a White-eared Honeyeater which I am assuming was the host. However a nearby female Rufous Whistler also appeared to be reacting to the begging calls: according to HANZAB this attraction of innocent bystanders is quite common. I didn't see the Whistler actually feed the cuckoo.
