Canberra Sunday - The perch shortfall situation has worsened with three spoonbills joining the competition.  Approached for a comment, a great egret told our reporter:  “Well yes, the behaviour is pretty disgusting , but in my view the fault lies with the government.  They’ve had years to do something about this”.  In each of the below panels 4 birds are competing for perching space.
