There has been a mini-invasion of Spotted Doves in our part of Chapman since
Bruce Lindenmayer posted about one in his garden a couple of months ago.
I've had one in my GBS site nearly every week since that, but they seem to
have increased over the past week to a maximum of 3 yesterday morning.
There has has been this number before a few years ago at the start of the
GBS year, but just when I thought they were about to settle/breed they
disappeared pretty much overnight, and I hardly recorded one for some time.
Hopefully that will happen again, but there does seem to have been more
calling in Chapman/Rivett recently that the usual couple of sites where they
seem to be most of the time.

Spotted Turtledoves cooing in at least three and possibly four separate
locations in that part of Turner west of the Sullivan's Creek drain.
Haig Park appears to be the preferred invasion route.
