Hello Paul'
* Freshford is west off Point Hut Rd. the turnoff to it is
about 100m N of the junction with Tidbinbialla Rd
* 'The' Rifle Range in the '50s and '60 was near
where the current Pistol Club is. Shooting was towards Mt Ainslie.
I have the above on Canberra 1
: 50,000 map SHEET 8727-111 EDITION 2 SERIES R 753
* Mulwala House was on Ainslie Av I think (and still
is under a different name I think - am getting this confirmed). Let me know
if you don't get a better response for this.
* CS Boatshed belonged to Canberra Scouts I think
and was located below Geary's Gap where the other boatsheds were down
from the current lookout beside the Federal Highway. I don't
know how to confirm this.
