mystery bird

Yesterday I posted a photo of a chick the identity of which had me stumped.

Thanks to various people for their assistance. The Guru Consensus (they know how they are!) is that it is a Golden Whistler chick. Briefly considered, but discarded, was the possibility that it was an Olive Whistler chick, Olive Whistlers being the closest observed whistler to the chick when the photo was taken: proximity does not prove connection.

My cuckoo suggestion was well, just cuckoo.

regards

Con
