In my backyard doing a bit of sky gazing at 05:15 hrs today, looked north and there was a flock of about 20 White-throated Needletails circling around  and gaining altitude. Watched for 10 minutes until they drew further north and faded from view.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology there was no storm activity at that time anywhere in the South East.
