I arrived just as Geoffery and co. left and felt a
little deflated to have them say the bittern had just departed after being
around for 30 minutes and may have had its fill with the fish it caught.
Despite this I stayed and the bittern soon reappeared and did so on and off for
most of the day up to 3:30 when I left - great views of it feding in front of
the hide and over an hour of video and lots of photos.
