Many thanks to all who participated in COG’s 8th bird blitz over the weekend. We were really blessed with delightful weather this year and, to judge by the datasheets flooding in, many more of you than those who formally registered took the opportunity to get out and about counting birds. Great! Now please don’t waste those data – make sure you post them to COG PO Box 301 Civic Square 2608 or bring them to the next COG meeting or email me to make other arrangements. I’ll provide occasional updates on this chat line, on the web site and in Gang-gang as to numbers of species seen, highlights etc. And come along to the January meeting for the awarding of blitz prizes, including the lucky draw amongst all participants. b
