Just rejoined today the canberra birds email list after returning from
long business trip to Europe so good to catch up on what is around. I
wanted to report last week early evening of October 4th a roosting flock
of over 200 mixed Masked and White Browed Woodswallows at Mount Roger
Nature Reserve. It was quite a sight seeing them swoop down into their
roost and the noise was deafening. I went back the next evening but they
had gone.
Also does anyone know if the Owlet Nightjar is back nesting at Mount
Roger in one of the nest boxes? I see that the Frogmouth is back sitting
on its nest in large eucalypt at entrance to Mount Roger Reserve.
